We walked by and saw the cute interior so thought we would try this place,. We ordered happy hour cocktails and sushi. The sushi was excellent and fresh and the cocktails were great! We recommend the lechi martini...

Stopped in for lunch. It was quiet but we enjoyed the meals - miso soup, yellowtail hamachi, a bowl of ramen and soup dumplings. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.

It was pretty cold out, and this restaurant was conveniently located next door to our hotel. I'm always down for sushi, and the menu was large enough to please the non-sushi eaters of my family. I really loved the Over the Rainbow roll, the kids were happy with chicken teriyaki and ramen. However, husband does NOT recommend their pad Thai.

Came here with the family and had a good time. The girls liked the peach and lychee martinis. I had the goose Island 312 draft. :-) For appetizers the ginger house salad was nice, better than most sushi places! And the scallion pancake was a hit! We had several maki tools, including the mellow yellow. The spicy ramen noodle and sesame honey chicken disappeared as well :-) Our witness provided great service, especially with one member having a peanut allergy. Beware of trying to use website on your mobile phone, the menus don't come up easily on Safari or Chrome. Seemed like a few tries were necessary, perhaps due to image size, not sure. Reservations are definitely recommended to get a spot.

Niu is super slept on! It has a nice outdoor seating area that's perfect for cool summer days. There's a wide selection of food. The pepper salmon was shockingly good, and the cocktails were amazing. Definitely worth a try if you're passing through the streeterville area.

I came here on a weekday afternoon right before the lunch special was about to be over- Glad we made it becuase it was so worth it! for $9 you get the full size of some of their special rolls or lunch special bento boxes but we didnt go with that. we order 2 rolls from the lunch menu, and the tuna tartare which was light and refreshing. The rolls were huge for the price and pretty flavorful. I would love to come back to try their dinner menu.

Nigri was all fantastic! Seasoned well. Shrimp dumpling Godzilla roll had a mismatch in flavor profile. They might have added something extra.

Popped into here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Large, quiet interior, decent sized bar and very clean. Service was great, as there weren't many people. Started with the chicken gyoza, spicy garlic edamame, and soup dumplings. Soup dumplings stole the show, tasted fresh, steamed well, broth was impeccable. I got the sexy Mexican roll, which was shrimp, spicy crab, jalapeño, topped with avocado and sriracha. Crab and shrimp was fresh, raw jalapeño was a great kick and the avocado was refreshing. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Chicago.

This place was so convenient for my sisters & I's Saturday evening adventure around the city. When we first arrived we thought we'd have to wait a while but they were able to get us in & seated right away. Juan & Justin (our servers) were very friendly. Our food & drinks came out within a timely manner (even as the night started to get busy). We ordered the Osaka Sunrise, Edamame , the Dragon Maki roll, Wonton soup & the Japanese Fried Rice w/ beef The food was amazing! The Dragon Roll was my favorite out of everything. Christian (our food runner) was also really nice as well. The ambiance was very laid back & comfortable. The lights were dim, there were tea light candles at each table, the decorations were so unique. Definitely worth the experience, I most definitely recommend!
